Important Information from FAAC

Advocate – There is always someone on your side. Sexual Assault advocacy provides specialized trained individuals that have the ability to help victims navigate through the process as well as through the resources that are available to them.
Support – Help a victim cope with the consequences of an assault. Listen without judgment, believe them, and encourage them to seek professional help. Be there for them and provide as much comfort as possible while always honoring their recovery process.

VISITING SORORS
The Fredericksburg Area Alumnae Chapter always welcomes visiting members of Delta Sigma Theta. Chapter meetings are held at 10 am the first Saturday (September thru June) of each month. Please ensure you bring proof of membership and a photo ID. Business attire is required. Sorors, click here to plan your visit.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Since its founding in 1913, Delta Sigma Theta has clearly distinguished itself as a public service organization that boldly confronts the challenges of African Americans and, hence, all Americans. FAAC embraces that tradition by servicing the Counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and the City of Fredericksburg.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS
Our work could not be done without the collaboration and helping hands of many organizations within our service area. We would like to recognize those organizations and groups that we refer to as our COMMUNITY PARTNERS.

Awareness – Help raise national awareness by educating yourself and your family as awareness can help with prevention. Sexual assault can cause its victims to experience things such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, drug and alcohol addictions, problems with intimate relationships, and difficulty at school and/or work.
Prevention – Prevention starts with education. Trust your instincts, avoid being alone with people you do not know or trust, and be aware of where you are and what is around you.
